Penharget is located on the outskirts of the old mining village of Pensilva, which is home to Millenium House, a social centre offering a fitness suite, sports hall, bar and coffee shop. Pensilva also has a very well stocked village shop.
The market town of Liskeard is a ten minute drive from Penharget, where Lux Park Leisure centre has an indoor pool and many other facilities. There is also a choice of places to eat in Liskeard.
The quaint fishing villages of Looe and Polperro are only a half hour drive.
A visit to the internationally renowned Eden Project, situated between Bodmin and St Austell is well worth the journey, less than an hour away, as is the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The beautiful National Trust property of Lanhydrock House and Gardens is between Liskeard and Bodmin and Cotehele House is situated on the banks of the River Tamar less than half an hour away. Cotehele is along the river from Morwellham where TV's Edwardian Farm was filmed.
The Maritime City of Plymouth is 30 minutes away and offers something for everyone-the Barbican and Hoe, the National Marine Aquarium, a multiplex cinema, 10 pin bowling and Drakes Circus Shopping Mall.
Golfers are well catered for in this area with St Mellion International Golf and Country Club being one of the many courses nearby.
Rugged Bodmin Moor offers a wide variety of activities including various watersports at nearby Siblyback Lake, riding stables ten minutes from Penharget and of course excellent opportunities for taking in the stunning scenery with moorland walking. For those interested in our local history, the Minions Heritage Centre hosts an excellent and well researched exhibition detailing the mining industry and the local history of Bodmin Moor. Also of particular interest is the Cheesewring and the Hurlers stone circle.
Close to Penharget at Upton Cross is the Sterts covered outdoor theatre. This theatre hosts a wide range of excellent productions throughout the year.
A visit to Cornwall is not complete without a experiencing 'some of England 's finest beaches situated on the North Cornwall coast, less than an hour away. While you are touring the coast why not visit Jamie Olivers ‘Fifteen' restauarant at Watergate bay and try some extreme water sports while you are there! Along the coast at the harbour town of Padstow , Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurant is located. As well as these, Cornwall is now home to many fabulous restaurants, many in spectacular locations, serving locally produced food & drink.
There is a wide choice of village pubs serving great food within a ten minute drive of Penharget Farm.
